On November 5, 2025, the PDT Expo 2025 opened its virtual doors - a pioneering digital event for the Public Health Service (Öffentlicher Gesundheitsdienst - ÖGD), organized by the Academy for Public Health (AÖGW) and the Project Office for Digital Tools (PDT). Following the immense success of the previous year, this year's Expo set new standards for digital transformation within the health sector.
The PDT Expo 2025 brought together experts, decision-makers, and innovators to present and discuss current developments, trends, and solutions regarding the digitalization of the ÖGD. As a fully digital format, the event was open to everyone, offering a unique platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and inspiration.
The high-caliber lineup of the program was particularly impressive:
All auditorium sessions were accessible via live captions, ensuring that all attendees could follow the presentations. Participants could also exchange ideas directly and live via the interactive chatwall.
Accessibility and ease of participation are of paramount importance, not just to our customers, but also to us at MEETYOO. The registration process was designed to allow interested parties to sign up quickly and easily. Thanks to EU funding (NextGenerationEU), participation was free of charge - a vital contribution to the democratization of knowledge in digital healthcare.
Just like last year, the platform opened one week before the live event. This Pre-Login phase proved to be incredibly helpful once again: Participants could identify and resolve technical hurdles early on - a crucial advantage for organizations with strict IT security requirements. This laid the foundation for a smooth experience for everyone involved.
The PDT Expo 2025 placed a strong focus on interaction and exchange. The Speed-Pitching Session, where exhibitors presented their solutions concisely, was particularly popular. These compact sessions gave attendees a quick overview of the represented companies and their digital tools.
At the virtual booths, interested parties could then speak directly with exhibitors via text chats or video calls, ask questions, and discuss individual use cases. This turned a digital trade fair visit into a genuine dialogue at eye level.
A total of 24 exhibitors showcased their solutions across three virtual exhibition halls. New this year: Individual exhibitor packages in three tiers, allowing companies to flexibly design their presence. Optional expansions included:
This flexibility enabled exhibitors to increase their reach, customize their Expo presence within a specific framework, and generate qualified leads in a targeted manner.
Another exciting innovation was the integration of our intelligent matchmaking system. Participants indicated their key interests, and exhibitors listed their top topics. From this data, personalized recommendations were generated. The most relevant booths appeared right at the top of the overview, allowing visitors to find the right contacts immediately.
This feature ensured a more efficient trade fair experience and helped to forge valuable connections faster - a true value-add in a virtual format.
An audience favorite was once again the digital coffee lounge with integrated Spatial Chat. Here, participants could move freely through the room with their camera feed and spontaneously strike up conversations. The closer you moved to a group, the louder the conversation became - a concept that perfectly simulates real-life conversational dynamics and remains incredibly popular in our virtual worlds.
This intuitive form of virtual networking enables natural encounters, creative conversations, and the building of new contacts.
The popular Photobooth was back in action! Participants and exhibitors could take and download creative photos together using various backgrounds and overlays.
Particularly popular were the Logo-Wall backgrounds featuring the logos of all exhibitors. These photos were perfect for sharing on social media platforms like LinkedIn. A playful yet effective feature that further increased the event's visibility and reach.
To further boost engagement, the PDT Expo 2025 once again utilized gamification. The highlight: a specially developed Escape Game titled "A Time Travel through Digitalization". Participants solved interactive puzzles linked to topics such as the ÖGD, AI, and digital transformation. They were accompanied by the mascot Ölaf, who sprinkled in helpful tips and little story elements.
From a jungle scene to the Middle Ages, through the Renaissance, and into the future - the game creatively combined knowledge transfer with entertainment. The analysis shows that this feature was very popular and heavily used by participants. The AI-generated designs, inspired by the virtual main hall, made the experience particularly immersive. Die KI-generierten Designs, inspiriert von der virtuellen Mainhall, machten das Erlebnis besonders immersiv.
As an added bonus, participants could find a hidden Goodie Bag filled with digital surprises and gifts from the exhibitors.
Following its great success last year, the AI assistant EXPO Guru returned. The EXPO Guru supported participants in all phases of the event:
A special highlight: The EXPO Guru automatically created LinkedIn posts before, during, and after the event, which could be directly adopted, edited, and published - an innovative step for digital event engagement. Evaluations show that this function was eagerly used by both participants and exhibitors.
The data clearly indicates how versatile the AI assistant’s usage was. Participants most frequently asked questions about speakers and presenters, as well as regarding the creation of LinkedIn posts.
Questions about exhibitors, the EXPO itself, and technical inquiries regarding the platform and functions were also common. Another focus area was the hidden Goodie Bag. Here, the Expo Guru remained poised: giving small hints, but never revealing the secret.
Additionally, it received numerous questions about the program and content, such as specific lectures, workshops in the media library, or the Escape Game. General event information also played a role, for example regarding thematic focus areas or the project team.
Finally, there were many informal interactions: short greetings, words of thanks, or creative requests like a poem about the event.
But even behind the scenes, our MEETYOO AI Agent supported project management in many different areas during the preparation, execution, and especially the follow-up of the PDT Expo 2025, such as the identification and generation of chapters and key moments after the event.
The PDT Expo 2025 was aimed at professionals from health departments, IT managers, digitalization officers, executives, scientists, and students. It offered valuable impulses for beginners just as much as for experienced digitalization experts.
Thanks to the variety of formats, from keynotes and exhibition booths to gamification, every participant found suitable content and inspiration.
The close collaboration between the Projektbüro Digitale Tools and MEETYOO as a technical partner once again formed the foundation for a successful event. Experiences from the previous year flowed directly into the planning. Proven concepts were retained, and new ideas were boldly integrated.
The PDT Expo 2025 was far more than a virtual trade fair: It demonstrated how vibrant digital transformation in the healthcare sector can be. With innovative formats, inclusive design, and intelligent technology, it became a prime example of how collaboration, knowledge transfer, and digitalization can go hand in hand.
